Family crest
Students will create a personal family crest. This is a graphic representation of what your family is, was, and what you hope to become.
All projects will show an understanding of the following:
1) Color schemes and how it may add meaning to a work of art
a. Choose one and stick with it.
Analogous, complements, split complement, triad, primary,
Warm, cool
2) Symbols / meaning
a. Include images that represent significant aspect of you and your family
If you are unsure of what symbols might be meaningful to you and your family, there are many sites that have extensive lists of symbols and their meanings. Here are a few:

3) Modernization
a. Research family crest from the past, incorporate ideas but make them look new and fresh
Each project will include a description of the tools used to create the image. You must use a minimum of 8 different tools and explain where you used them.
Each project will include a description of the symbols that are imbedded in your family crest. You must use a minimum of two symbols.
